Poetry has always been near and dear to the author's heart. He recently published an autobiographical novel or travel memoir entitled Great Tits I've Known (And Other Species) where similar subjects are explored, and where the prose of the novel aspires to but never quite achieves poetry.

What made the experience of listening to Poems People Liked (1) the most enjoyable?

I am a fan of Jonathan Finch's work and know most of this collection well however I have never heard his poems read aloud before. This audio experience really has given them all a whole new meaning for me.

What does Tom Miller bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Tom Miller's beautifully nuanced and measured voice has brought every poem to life, it brings so much more to the pleasure of the words than reading them in my head.

This is my first audio book and I enjoyed it very much. The narration helped bring the poems to life.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the mix of subject matter in the poetry, nature, birds, and literature.

What does Tom Miller bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I found Tom Miller's voice very personable and soothing, which brought a depth to the poetry which I don't think I would have experienced through my own voice.

Highly recommend downloading the audio book for the experience.

A marvellous collection, something for everyone. Particularly impressive narration by Tom Miller who conveyed the essence of each poem with great sensitivity and in such an engaging way I was totally engrossed throughout. Well done!
