About this listen

The ADHD Adults Podcast (in)expertly covers ADHD in adults, sharing evidence-based information and personal experiences. Join us for balloon-headed Alex the Psychoeducation Monkey's evidence-based information, James's annoyance and genuinely poor tips for coping, and the "Queen of Chaos", Mrs ADHD. Each episode also features regular games, "jokes", correspondence from absolutely real people and chaos... lots of chaos. • Episode 200 "Celebrating" 200 Episodes!
    Nov 24 2025

To celebrate hitting almost incredibly managing to limp to 200 episodes of the podcast, and to stop all the bother of having to create anything, Alex, James and Mrs AuDHD answer questions from listeners... James isn’t allowed to do bathos, Alex steals James’s professional background, and Mrs AuDHD isn’t as proud of her weirdness since getting her diagnoses...

  • Episode 199 ADHD & Neuroplasticity
    Nov 17 2025

Episode 199 of the podcast covers ADHD and neuroplasticity, the lifelong capacity of the brain to change and rewire itself in response to the stimulation of learning and experience. Part 1 is the usual 'welcome to the podcast nonsense', in part 2, Alex the Psycho…. education Monkey tries to communicate poorly written science of ADHD and neuroplasticity, and in part 3, Alex and James offer their personal reflections on rumination. "What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with James winning 5-1 so far for the series. Alex’s ‘Rapper name’ is FOX-P and James prefers ‘shut up’ to ‘shush’...

  • Episode 198 Long-term Effects of ADHD Medication
    Nov 10 2025

Mrs AuDHD is back! Episode 198 of the podcast covers the long-term effects of ADHD. The (for now) revised format sees endless waffle in part 1, in part 2, Alex the Psycho…….education Monkey vomits out the science of long-term ADHD medication use, and in part 3, all three hosts offer their personal reflections. "What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with James winning 4-1 so far for the series. James thinks it’s Episode 128, Mrs AuDHD shits herself about numbers, and Alex talks about following children for years...

A great podcast, it follows a brilliant structure (kudos to them both for adhering to a structure, which I am personally pants at)
It’s tricky to identify credible, scientific insight that is relatable and explained well in plain English, which James and Alex do superbly. They demonstrate impressive achievement and the very real struggle that is experienced by someone with ADHD wiring, overlaid with good humour. Their style may not suit everyone, but I for one love it, their passion, swearing and silliness, together it gives me a channel that helps me to feel less of a dickhead and not so odd. KlaxON.

A funny AND credible, inclusive UK insight
