The accent was horrific, it was a cross between Geordie and Scottish, it was brash and shrill. I had it playing on silent long enough to leave a review. I couldn't comment to the actual.storu because the reading took away from it completely. This is also not the full version which I found out from reviews and it's not mentioned anywhere which is naughty, but it's a saving grace in this instance, less to listen to. I've listened to hundreds of books and some have been awfully written, but this is the first negative review I've left and also the first time I've not been able to complete even a chapter. I'm frustrated because I've heard good things about the author.

Where in the world did the regional accents come from? Sounded more like Geordie than Lincs to me. I expected better from Susan Jameson. Am now reading the other 2 books in this trilogy on Kindle.

I've been reading this excellent trilogy on my kindle. What a scam to sell the audio book with only half the story! Shame on you Audible I will be reconsidering whether to bother in future. Can't recommend the WHOLE story highly enough but this offering was a joke.
