Summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Thea Harrison comes the final novella featuring Pia and Dragos....

Pia’s latest pregnancy has become a daily challenge, her relationship with Dragos strained with argument. That hasn’t stopped them from achieving a compromise and traveling to Las Vegas to celebrate their friend Rune’s wedding to his mate Carling.

From the moment they arrive, the trip goes awry. Death walks in Vegas, and Pia is kidnapped as an ancient enemy makes a move to destroy the Great Beast once and for all.

But the Great Beast has other plans.

On Planet Dragos everything goes the way he arranges it - unless someone decides to cross him, and God help them then, because he doesn’t know how to back down, and he doesn’t ever, ever let up....

More Please!

Dragos and Pia are in Vegas for the wedding of Rune and Carling. We find Dragos being his usual arrogant self blowing Pia off in regards to a man who looks like him; driving Pia to work around him to find her own answers. Pia gets kidnapped and Dragos once again has to come to terms with his own arrogance to save Pia from a long term enemy.

Dragos' relationships with Death, his long time friend Rune and his mate Carling smooths out a bit during this book. Dragos offers Rune a job and presents Liam 2 job opportunities to choose from. We get a strong sense of which direction Liam will go, but what happens with stink pot? We don't know since this is apparently the end of this story arc. Inquiring minds want to know.

From the Elder Races series I love Dragos the most because he knows he's arrogant, an a$$, completely full of himself, ruthless, and has a never say die, give an inch and take no prisoners attitude but he often brings himself into check when it comes to the welfare and happiness of his family. I would love to hear more about Dragos and Pia in their new life.

Fitting End to the Story Arc

A fitting novella in the series, and a reasonable ending to Dragos & Pia’s story arc, without any real horror or life lost. Harrison has also set up another story arc for Liam’s future, and a lot of potential futures for other characters in the Elder Races series. Welcome to baby Stinkpot aka ? Read to enjoy and find out the details.
Eastlake does a decent job of narration.
Recommend.

Loved Pia and Dragos from beginning to end...

I would have liked their last story to have been a longer one and I am sorry to see them go but I can relisten as I have the whole series in my library, great from beginning to end. I haved loved Sophie's narration as well.

Loved it.

Thea, you crammed so much storytelling into this novella and I loved it! You opened some awesome future story possibilities for the Elder Races, which is very exciting too. I look forward to see what’s in store. And a small part of me really hopes Stinkpot grows more slowly than his brother did, so the Pia and Dragos get to experience parenthood more fully this time around.

They really need to invite Azrael over for dinner.

It was great book I really liked it. Just wish it was a bit longer. I'm also sad to see that this will be the last book from Pia & Drago's point of view. but I'm also excited to see new books with other characters points of view. I'd love to see a book from Azrael point of view. I like him in Spellbinder and absolutely loved him in this. I also like to see more books from Liam and Niall but we'll just have to wait and see what we get next.

As for this particular book and I don't have any complaints besides how short it was. The narrator was Sophie Eastlake and I don't have a problem with her. She's able to do all the voices and they don't ever feel like out of character, at least that's my opinion on it.

At the time of me reading this the third book of the Moon Shadow series is already out it's called Lionheart and it's good. Thea Harrison also seems to be currently working on a new book for The Elder race series called American Witch, so we're definitely getting more of these books in the future.

Dragos is divine

I loved, loved, loved this series. The author doesn't say she's ending the Elder Races series - just that the stories directly with Dragos & Pia are over for now. I suspect there will be Liam and Stinkpot stories - at least I hope so. I think the story was too short - with the ending kind of rushed, especially if she is truly ending the series. However, if she continues with Liam, then perhaps it makes sense. Either way, an enjoyable story. Thank you Thea.
