I enjoyed this cozy mystery. It is a short story which makes it great for a short car ride but the author packs in a lot of fun. I loved the way the criminal gets caught, it's a great way of combining the mystery solving with her day job/ crafting skills. This is book five in the series and you don't need to read or listen to them in the right order because they make for great standalone books but in this book we learn more about Lola a character that we meet in book two and who quickly became a part of the team of great characters. Once again the author mixes it up and there is no murder to investigate but that's not from want of trying. Thank goodness for that. Off to start the next book.
Charity's date with Dishy Detective Sota is cut short when they both get phones calls. His is a phone call calling him back to work to on a new case. Charity is to inform her that her friend and work colleague is the victim of a bit and run. When another attempt on her life is foiled, Charity moves her friend in to stay with her and her grandpa. Can Charity and Sofa find out the reason behind the attacks and more importantly capture the person responsible for them? Before it's to late.
I like the narrator. She puts in another excellent performance.
