Summary

Mit Peterchens Mondfahrt, der Geschichte von Peter, Anneliese und des Maikäfers Sumsemann, hat Gerdt von Bassewitz eines der bis heute bekanntesten und schönsten deutschen Kinderbücher geschrieben. Wer hat nicht schon einmal das Buch gelesen oder eine Aufführung im Theater danach gesehen. Entstanden ist Peterchens Mondfahrt vermutlich 1911 während einer Kur in Königstein im Taunus im Sanatorium Dr. Kohnstamm. Bassewitz schrieb das Märchen für zwei der vier Kohnstamm-Kinder, Peter und Anneliese, drei und elf Jahre alt.
