William Adolf Carl Sternheim (1878-1942) war ein deutscher Dramatiker und Autor. In seinen Werken berichtet meist über das Bürgertum unter Wilhelm II. Bekannte Werke sind Bürger Schippel und der Zyklus Aus dem bürgerlichen Heldenleben.
