Summary

These kisses of his...they're demanding and possessive. They're hungry and deep. They're the kisses of a man who wants more of a woman - who wants everything - and isn't going to stop until he gets it.

Author Olivia Rossi hasn’t been able to write a word since tragedy struck two years ago and ripped her world apart. Heartbroken and still haunted by the past, she accepts an offer to spend the summer at a friend’s apartment in Paris in search of healing and her lost muse.

What she finds instead is James, an enigmatic stranger who ignites in her an unexpected and all-consuming passion. Agreeing to tell each other nothing more than their first names, Olivia and James embark on a torrid affair. But the more time they spend together, the more Olivia begins to realize her summer fling is turning into a powerful connection…and that the magnetic man she’s falling in love with might not be what he seems at all.

Author's note: This is not a "traditional" romance. There is a happily ever after, but not in the way you will expect it. Go in blind and enjoy the roller coaster, or move on to something fluffier. This novel has sharp teeth...and bites.

Disappointing

This is one of my favourite authors but I am afraid I felt let down on this occasion as she tried too hard and made the story far too complicated.

I loved that it was set in Paris and I loved the MCs; and their steamy romance.

The narration was perfect.

This book is in three parts and I loved the first part. There are lots of twists and turns, but it felt like it was written by three different authors.

Endings are always difficult but on this occasion, it left me feeling cheated.

Olivia and James

This book was an unexpected surprise and was so good. As the author states, this is not a "traditional" romance. There is a happily ever after, but not in the way you will expect it. Wow, that was so true. It was unique and not what I am used to from Ms. Geissinger. The uniqueness of this book made it really interesting although I got confused a couple of times. I loved the ending where everything becomes clear. Things are definitely not what they seem. Troy Duran, Veronica Pace and Marnye Young did a great job with the narration. Troy Duran was absolutely awesome!

Wow is about all I can say

The story took a much different direction than the beginning lead you to believe. My mind is still in shock. The narration was PHENOMENAL.

Desert Island Book

This book is unlike anything I’ve read. It will mess with your mind and make you want to throw your tablet/e-reader/phone against the wall a couple of times. The narration is perfection (Troy could read a phonebook and make it sound sexy). It’s best to go in blind and don’t read too much about the book. It is a contemporary romance, written by a remarkable author. That’s all you need to know. Enjoy the ride.

BUCKLE UP! What a WILD emotional ride!

I just finished *Perfect Strangers*…. and I am SHOOK! Completely shook.
It’s 3:30am. I couldn’t stop once I started earlier in the day.
To say that my audible gasp and shriek of “Nooooo!” didn’t almost wake up the whole house when Olivia looked at that calendar, I’d be lying. The cat on my lap scattered, for sure. My palm covered my mouth in shock for a couple minutes. My whole world I had been living in the last 8ish hours began to spin. (And I wrote this part of this review before I listened to the epilogue! Ironic.)
The uncontrollable tears didn’t start until she was with the doctor and recounted the summer. From there, I was a mess—alllllll the way until the end! What an emotional ride.
If you use a credit, be prepared for tears at the end. Real, HARD tears. (And I’m NOT a crier!) I advise you to go for it, but only if you’re emotionally stable (lol) and ready. This book takes a 180° in a snap of a finger! Then a 90° reversal of sorts in the epilogue—maybe almost a 180° reversal? It’s WILD!!!!!!!!
“Here’s to day drinking!” Cheers!

Not what I expected AT ALL. In a good way!!

First off…the narration was amazing!! This book was epic! So many twists and turns that I didn’t expect. I have read a few books by J.T. Geissinger but this one really was on a different level. Well worth the credit. It won’t disappoint.

Beautiful story. Beautiful narration.

“There is a field beyond all notions of right and wrong, I will meet you there.” -Rumi What can I say? Wonderful story by a favorite author. Can’t say enough about the performance of the narrators who are also favorites. Not an uncomplicated story, but beautiful, steamy, suspenseful, did I mention beautiful?

Not sure how I feel after listening to this towards the end. I wasn’t expecting it….so different from her others. Great narration!
