I started the series before I realised that there was an origin story. However, Nazri Noor is such a talented writer that even reading it at the end of the series doesn't detract from the overall experience.
Dustin Graves is an intriguing character, sarcastic, resourceful, especially when he acquires new powers after being a ritual sacrifice.... The series follows him and how he navigates the new world he finds himself in.
The audio is a great way to enjoy the story. Luke Daniels has been Dustin's voice throughout the series and he's been fantastic all the way, so glad he did the prequel as well.
Recommend the series unreservedly.
