About this listen

A girl, a badger, and a pair of dwarves… In T. L. Brechin’s debut novel, Marta is snatched violently from her peaceful rural life into a world of soothsayers, goblins, gnomes and elves.

She and her motley band of companions must restore the mystical gemstones to the Pentark and save the Isle Of Spheres from Lord Mortimer and the Prince of Darkness.

Aided by the Knights of Power and the mysterious sage Ikoseer, the companions must journey across the World of The Soul to find the gems and bring the Pentark back to life.

Along the way, Marta discovers her true heritage and her inner strength – and the real value of friendship.

Read by award-winning narrator Rosalyn Landor, Pentark includes specially-commissioned orchestral music composed by Michael Vickerage, and was produced and directed by Justin Hill.

Hats off to the narrator for bringing to audio life a band of characters and to the producer for the captivating world sound scape.

A great story, and I loved listening to Rosalyn Landor's narration and characterisation. The music is beautiful and provides a lovely interlude between chapters and also punctuates particular points in the story. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely listen

A great read by Rosalyn Landor supported by simply lovely music which enhances the story without ever overwhelming the narration. The little musical interludes here and there punctuate the scene changes. Chapter 39 was a tear-jerker...

Love it
