Summary

A new generation of the Pengarron family enters centre stage as Lady Kerensa and Sir Oliver depart for London. Kelynen, the youngest daughter, is left resentful and upset by her father's treatment of her. She had been looking forward to running the estate single handedly, but Sir Oliver has unexpectedly forbidden it. Instead, he's ordered her brother Luke to forget his play-writing career and return to Pengarron. It seems at first that only Kane, the eldest of the siblings, and the only one to be adopted, is truly happy. The next generation struggle to make their own way in life whilst living under the restraints of an era when a father's wishes are paramount.

Pengarron Rivalry

Another delightful episode in this saga. All the characters are well defined, and then sometimes do surprising things. I'm still hooked!
