I thoroughly enjoyed Parky telling the stories of his career. His Yorkshire grit and down to earth sense of humour make this a very special listen.

Just finished the abridged version- one of the best I have listened to which surprised me somewhat as I wasn’t expecting it. Parky is a true Yorkshireman - he is also the best talk show interviewer we have ever had - certainly in my lifetime. He goes into more detail with guests than I expected - Mohammed Ali being one - and his observations are shrewd and mostly spot on. Meeting all his Hollywood heroes makes him a lucky man but there is depth, wisdom and understanding to the man which we all gain with age but few are able to leave as a legacy. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommended.

A fabulous listen especially as Parky is narrating and like all biographies they are better that way.
An informative journey through his life and upbringing in Barnsley through to his final talk shows. A very funny listen in parts and also thought provoking in others. If you enjoyed the TV / Radio shows this is a no brainier of a listen.
