*********************************************

Sara doesn’t live a reckless, wild London life. She does live with a wildness, though, an unrestrainable and ferocious flurry of thoughts. She wants nothing more than to love fiercely and impolitely, even if the thought of being physical conjures anxiety as well as yearning.

When she starts dating Miles, they don’t touch. She desires him, but she knows the limits of her body. Miles respects her boundaries, though he longs for them to melt away.

As they grow closer, she must ask herself, how do you love someone when you feel like your body is not your own?

I liked this book from the offset but between 50-75% it just became repetitive to the point where I nearly dnf’d. I understand the plot, Sara is highly relatable, aspects of the relationship were relatable, but it just felt as though there was no light at the end of the tunnel and the tunnel was going on for too long. After the revelation near the end my attention was recaptured. As a listener, the over-explanation was nice, but as a reader I can imagine it getting tedious. Performance was fantastic!!

A brutally intimate story. Sara’s story is so honest and compelling it delves into the inner most thoughts of a girl who thinks she is broken only to find out the real reason for her intimacy issues. Heartbreaking

Raw. Intimate and moving
