Opal s Conscience Guilt Ridden or Is It
This books story showed how Opals coming of age,
view of what she wants and what her Sister Ruby,
thinks it quite different .When Opal ,is forced to
go East to Ny.city for her safety, because of a drifter
that acosted her .Finally safe for a return ,to home,
But at the same time while she was away from a preacher ran from home ,because his conscience ridden guilt, Thus he finally sees that God has called
him to reveal that he is a pastor .He is set free as the
truth does .
Eventually he expresses his love for Opal ,but; he is
told ,he must wait till she is 17 ,
He is willing to do so,.On Christmas ,he receives, a wonderful gift ,his estranged son Joel ,acknowledges him as His pa. Ruby gives birth to her seconfd child with her husband s help .
Than Jacob ,the pastor marries a couple one ,who is Indian other Afroame AmRican .
Main theme is God is always there, especially when
your faith is sorely being tested .Especially when one
is called to submit to God's will
This is very interesting, but it was too much of a false beginning. But as all in all a very good read.
