About this listen

From the internationally bestselling author of The Atlas Six, One For My Enemy is the Sunday Times bestselling Romeo and Juliet retelling of witches, magic and intrigue.

In New York City, two rival witch families fight for the upper hand.

The Antonova sisters are beautiful, cunning and ruthless. But their underground narcotics business is threatened by their long-standing adversaries, the Fedorov brothers.

For twelve years, the families have maintained a fraught stalemate. Then everything is thrown into disarray. Bad blood carries them to the brink of disaster, even as a forbidden romance blossoms between two opposing sides. Yet the heirs still struggle for power, and internal conflicts could rot each family from within. That is, if the enmity between empires doesn’t destroy both sides first . . .

One For My Enemy is an irresistible, romantic tale of ambition, sacrifice and the enduring power of family legacies, set in the criminal underbelly of magical Manhattan.

Critic reviews

An exciting tale of ambition and sacrifice . . . Sign me up for anything she writes (Cosmopolitan)
The Atlas Six introduces six of the most devious, talented, and flawed characters to ever find themselves in a magical library, and then sets them against one another in a series of stunning betrayals and reversals. As much a delicious contest of wit, will, and passion as it is of magic, this book is half mystery, half puzzle, and wholly a delight (Holly Black on The Atlas Six)
Lethally smart. Filled with a cast of brilliantly realized characters, each entangled with one another in torturously delicious ways, The Atlas Six will grip you by the throat and refuse to let go. Olivie Blake is a mind-blowing talent (Chloe Gong on The Atlas Six)
The Atlas Six will thrill those who love twisted plots, twisted relationships, and morally grey characters ready to kill for knowledge and power. Dark, ambitious, and engaging (H. G. Parry on The Atlas Six)
Coolly horrific, brilliantly brainy and utterly compelling (Daily Mail on The Atlas Six)

What a great story. I really enjoyed this witchy romeo and juliet style story. The book is set out in acts and scenes like a play which i really enjoyed you could almost see it played out as the story progressed. I was immediately immersed in the story of 2 rival witch families while they battle love, betrayal and family troubles. It was well written and a really good story. I found it very twisty I never knew what to expect especially at the end. My first Olivie Blake story and not my last that's for sure.

romeo and juliet with a twist
