About this listen

AND THEN THERE WERE NONE meets THE TRAITORS

Five beautiful couples.
One deadly game.
Who will escape alive?

Lyla Santiago has spent months working on a research project that could be the key to getting a permanent job in her field.
So, she can’t really drop everything to go to a desert island with her actor boyfriend Nico to film One Perfect Couple, a new reality TV show that Nico is sure will lead to his big break – can she?

Two weeks later, Lyla finds herself boarding a boat to an isolated luxury resort in the Indian Ocean.

The rules of the game are simple. Ten strangers have to survive together on the island - and the last couple standing scoops the prize.
There will be sun, sea, laughs and plenty of flirting.
What could possibly go wrong?

But when a huge tropical storm cuts them off from everything, the group must band together.
As tensions run high and fresh water runs low, Lyla realises that someone is playing this game for real – and they'll stop at nothing to win.

Ten might have arrived, but who will survive to the end?

The narration was poor and would have benefitted by more than one narrator. Pretty unbelievably story line

Love island

Enjoyed most chapters. Can’t stand the idiocy of the female characters. It’s just lazy writing in order to move the story along. Please do better.
Last 30 minutes were completely unnecessary, tedious and very long winded. Shame as the premise was very good and there were some excellent moments.

It was pleasant enough

Ruth Ware has written a terrific thriller which is a cross between the reality tv show Love Island and Agatha Christie's Then There Were None. It follows five couples who are marooned on a remote island with a killer picking them off one by one.

The island setting is fantastic and is described so well by the author that I could feel just how trapped the characters were. The book is fast paced and the tension builds up until I really was biting my nails! The characters are described really well though they are mostly quite unlikeable. This is a great read for your summer holiday!

The book was brilliantly narrated by Imogen Church.

Loved this - so many layers! Reality tv, influencers, misogyny but also survival and relationships. Really enjoyed this rollercoaster!

Exhilarating listen

‘And then there were none’ is my favourite book ever so this book really intrigued me. It was confusing throughout though and I had to repeat chapters a few times after losing track of the plot!

I normally really enjoy Imogen Church’s narration however her pronounciation of insulin as ‘inshulin’ really grated on me!

A bit confusing but good overall
