The story plot itself is actually quite good and would make for a good read, albeit an unresolved ending, but listening to the audiobook version was very painful.
The audio production highlights the possibility of the book being written by a non-native English spwakingauthor, which is made worse by a narrator who also seems to be a non-native English speaker. This combination results in jarring issues throughout the listen, including the incorrect use of pronouns and mispronounced words.
Furthermore, the editing is incredibly poor. There is a constant repetition of sentences where the narrator clearly made a pronunciation m/ sounderror and retook the line, but the mistake was left in the final cut instead of being edited out.
If you are interested in this story, I highly recommend reading the text version rather than listening to the audio. Although the story is good, I’m very disappointed in the poor quality audio production by Audible. I'm quite disappointed in that.
