About this listen

What changes would you make to your life if you could view it through the lens of a first responder?

One More Light takes you on a journey with veteran firefighter and paramedic James Geering. As each chapter unfolds, the heart-wrenching stories are coupled with a unique physical and mental health perspective about preventing tragedy and unnecessary suffering. It’s about maximizing the wellness and fulfillment of one another. But most of all, this is a book that ultimately leaves you with the hope that, with us at our best, we have a fighting chance to thrive in an uncertain world.

This book was extremely moving and should be read by not only other first responders experiencing the things James describes, but also families, friends and anyone intrigued by what the life of a firefighter paramedic is all about.

I found myself experiencing so many emotions during this, and even laughed out loud on occasion due to James humour inserted into some of the stories (he is a fellow Brit!)

Thank you so much for putting this out James!

I greatly look forward to the next one ;-)

Powerful words that need to be heard.

Wow. From the very first moment of listening to One More Light, I knew I would be hooked. James Geering has given an extremely honest and well written account of what life is actually like as a firefighter/paramedic, and it will open up even the widest eyes to some extremely hard realities. From prologue to epilogue, it was an emotional, disturbing, heartfelt, informative, and at times uplifting journey, showing huge levels of compassion. And anyone like myself that knows James, would have expected nothing less. Whether you are a service person or not, EVERYONE should read or listen to this to appreciate what our public service men and women go through for us on a daily basis. Thank you all. I'm privileged to call James my friend, and I'm proud of him for this book. Strong work brother.

A must read for EVERYONE!
