Summary

Heather, a dragon shifter from the Eastern Peaks, is cast away from her kin and seeks refuge among the humans. Unfortunately, she’s stumbled into a world of prejudice and fear. While she at first hates Prince Benjamin for taking her captive, after spending time with him, he takes her heart prisoner, as well as her body.

Benjamin, prince and future king, is shocked to have a beautiful dragoness brought before him. At a loss of what to do with her, he makes a decision that will ultimately both bring them together and then tear them apart.

If their love is to survive, they’ll have to overcome the dangers in the kingdom and learn not only how to forgive, but how to lead.

Different

I liked the story and concept but I didn't care for the characters. I didn't agree with how they looked at their world but after they met I think they both grew and became likeable. The narrator had a nice voice.

A Dragoness and a Prince

Heather and Benjamin have a rough tine ahead of them. It was a different style of writing. Heather is a strong, while Benjamin is less dominant. Overall a different take on the typical shifter story.

A unique take on a shifter romance

This is a unique take on a shifter story. With a stronger female character and a less dominant male character. it was interesting to see that dynamic play out.

Gareth's performance was a bit mixed. His male voices were fine but I really didn't like the voice he used for the main female character. It sounded unnatural and weird. I wish he had just used a normal voice.

Lovely

I was given this book at my request but the opinion is of my own. Heather is a dragon shifter that doesn’t want anything to do with being with someone in her tribe and wants to live free. She is than cast out and brought to a price that rules the kingdom she was cast to. First hating him Heather finds he isn’t quite what he seems.

Interesting world and nice character growth

This is a short story, only two hours, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of character growth the author managed to include. Both characters grow in their view of the world and each other.

My only complaint is that it was a short story rather than a novel. I loved the characters and really wish the story had continued on to what happens next :)

Great 👍

The short novella had me in somewhat intrigued but there were times that I couldn’t get in either because the narrator or the story but I will re listen another time and see if my review changes. Might have been because it was an off day for me. I don’t like giving three stars so I will come back. But you should try and give your own opinion because not everybody will hear the same errors or goodness of this story.

Not good

BOOK REVIEW......
This book was terrible. Nothing ever remotely likable about it. And it was made even worse by the god awful narrator. What was they thinking in hiring this guy to do the voices of the characters. I swear he made my ears hurt.

NARRATOR REVIEW.......
I strongly doubt there exist a worse narrator then this narrator. He made my ears actually hurt. I listened for an hour. That was all I could stand.

Interesting

Set back in medieval times where Kings rule. It makes for a nice short story on how people viewed shifters then versus the possibility of them now. #Audiobookobsession

Could be better..

The narrator did an amazing job.
The author however... could have done better. Seems like a good writer, the story was just a little flat.

I received this audiobook for free and I have left this review voluntarily.

Interesting Dragon Shifter

Quick Dragon Shifter listen. Good story. The narrator was great as the prince and when reading the story but as Heather it didn’t work for me.

Had Potentional

I received this audiobook free at my request, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I feel like Olivia Myers has real potential as an author, she just didn't meet it with this particular story. The plotline comes across a bit flat with no real rising action to keep the reader/listener's attention. I think the idea was good, the execution was just a little off. With a bit more intrigue and plot devices, it could have been amazing.

Gareth Richards does a great job with the narration.

Interesting, short but...

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

It was interesting but felt very abrupt and slightly predictable, if you are looking for a short fun book give it a shot, especially if it’s on sale!
Narrator does a good job adding some depth with the voices.
