Summary
Arthur MacDonald, 85, is having an end-of-life crisis. His beloved, dying wife of over 60 years no longer knows who he is. His older brother still has all his hair and a wife almost half his age. The man his middle-aged daughter is dating has a ponytail.
His teenaged grandson wants to cook desserts for a living. And his daughter wants him to move into Silvermine retirement home. Then Arthur meets the gorgeous, radical, 80-something-year-old Robbie and learns that nobody is ever too old to fall in love all over again.

Truly enjoyable !
I really enjoyed Jason Chong’s interpretation of this story that takes a surprising twist. It’s the first time that l listened to a story on getting older. Good balance between depth and humour !

Precious and beautiful
Warning, do not listen if recently bereaved or going through a difficult time as there are some parts you may find too raw.
This book is not what I was expecting, but I loved every minute and listened in one sitting.
I cried and laughed and now it’s over I feel bereft of all the characters.

Lovely story
I really enjoyed the story and narration.
The characters were extremely warm and the description was very vivid.
At some point, towards the end, I was confused as it moved from story to story.

Brilliant! An unusual story line, brilliantly written and narrated.
The story line was unusual and fascinating.
Excellent characterisation, with no clues as to how the story would develop. The story kept me interested all the way through, I loved it even though it covered a challenging topic. Thanks Ceridwen 😀
