In the middle of the conflict between Israel and Lebanon, On the Other Side tells the story of two young soldiers, David and Jad, who meet under unexpected circumstances at the border. What begins with one rescuing the other slowly turns into something neither of them expected.
Both are searching for a way out of the noise, the pressure, and the lives they’ve been given. They make the bold decision to leave everything behind for a short time and spend time together in Paris. Away from uniforms, family expectations, and war, their connection grows into something deeper—something neither of them fully understands, especially as both have always seen themselves as straight.
But reality is never far behind. David finds himself torn between his marriage, his family, and feelings he can no longer ignore. His father strongly rejects any connection with someone from the other side, and the pressure around them slowly begins to close in.
On the Other Side is a story about love where it is not supposed to exist, about identity, and about two people trying to hold on to something real in a world determined to pull them apart.
