Summary
It's a beautiful day in Manchester, and four friends are meeting for a birthday lunch. But then they witness a shocking accident just metres away which acts as a catalyst for each of them.
For Laura, it's a wake-up call to heed the ticking of her biological clock. Sensible Jo finds herself throwing caution to the wind in a new relationship. Eve, who has been trying to ignore the worrying lump in her breast, feels helpless and out of control. And happy-go-lucky India is drawn to one of the victims of the accident, causing long-buried secrets to rise to the surface.
This is a story about the startling and unexpected turns life can take. It's about luck - good and bad - and about finding bravery and resilience when your world is in turmoil. Above all, it's about friendship, togetherness and hope.

Lucy Diamond delivers again!
I always enjoy Lucy's books and this one didn't disappoint. We meet a group of close girl friends who each have their own issues to deal with and discover the best way to deal with them. The characters are all strong women in their own right but once they join forces, they can and do, deal with anything!
Well written with believable characters, this book has aspects that most women can relate to. Clare gives each one a unique voice so you know who this bit is about.
Nice little bonus feature at the end too!

A really good listen
Any additional comments?
Enjoyed this book so much that I tweeted the author - sounds really sad, but I felt compelled to do so. The setting was in Manchester and, being a true Manc, she summed up our City perfectly. Storyline involved several characters all were realistic and all had their own stories that weren't complicated.

found it slightly flimsy in the beginning and was wondering about quitting it, but then the crash happened and finally we got to know the girls and their lives. I thought it was a good book and it touched on so many aspects of life. I do recommend it :)

Enjoyed the narration and the story
From the beginning I started to read about these characters and I wanted to know more about them. I felt I had things in common with them. The narrator was fantastic and all the accents she did made me feel like there were more people. It was thoroughly enjoyable, laugh out loud funny at times and some very moving moments too. I was sad when it ended.
