Summary

When family is on the line, there’s nothing defense attorney Doug Morrison won’t do. He’ll even go to the detective who put his father away for help in proving his innocence. When the driven omega meets the strong, crafty alpha, will their passion burn too bright to keep them on the case?

Defense attorney Doug Morrison is very good at his job. After his father is convicted in a series of gruesome murders, Doug takes it upon himself to save the man who’s given him everything. When he finds evidence his father was someplace else for some of the crimes, he seeks out the detective who initially got his father convicted.

Ray Langer is a laid-back sort of alpha, but he’s very good at his job. He knows the evidence was good when it came to the Morrison case - until Morrison’s gorgeous, confident omega son shows up with evidence that chips away at his case, little by little.

Ray agrees to work with Doug to get to the bottom of the issue. When an evening of passion turns into an accidental claim, they’re left with questions and fears. Can Ray continue to investigate his mate’s father without a conflict of interest? Can Doug defend a man who his alpha arrested?

Together, they need to get to figure out not only what the claim means for them, but who committed the murders attributed to Doug’s father. Somewhere out there, someone is getting away with murder.

This stand-alone gay romance audiobook contains sexually explicit content and is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18. This audiobook has a happy ending, contains mpreg (male pregnancy), and does not end in a cliff-hanger.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

The narrator was slow for me

I have listened to books by Aiden Bates before and have enjoyed them, I don't usually listen to murder stories with courtroom dramas but I did enjoy this one. Your strength of character is brilliant. This surprised me by being a great story and I'm glad it had a happy ending, keep more coming

Fantastic Story

Defense Attorney Doug Morrison is trying hard to get a new trial for his father. He is sure that he is innocent of the gruesome murders. His investigation takes him to the cold case unit and Ray Langer. Ray agrees to work with him but the desire between them is undeniable and an accidental claiming throws things into disarray. How will this work?

I like the variety of these stories. Each one is unique and captivating. You soon find yourself engrossed in the telling. Aidan Bates is an amazing author.

The narration was a bit different. It was a little slow but I adjusted and enjoyed it a lot.

Great Detective Story

Loved the book - the story and the characters were great but unfortunately I was not a fan of the narrator. Odd pauses in the narration and yet at times he was spot on. In
the end I actually couldn't finish listening to the book. Pity.

Omega's Kiss

I thoroughly enjoyed this book however the narrator made it hard to listen to. The story had great flow and Doug and Ray had great chemistry. I loved how their loved came together and it was rather entertaining how Ray accidentally claimed Doug but it all worked out for them in the end. I just wished the narration was better. Overall though this was a very good book it is a great addition to the series.

Ray & Doug

The Cold Case Alpha's Ray's story. Doug is an attorney trying to prove his father's innocence. I enjoyed the story, but the narrator was difficult to listen to. He spoke extremely slow with odd pauses, when I thought the playback stopped.

A serial killer, defense attorney, and detective

Omega defense attorney Doug Morrison's father is a convicted serial killer. Doug is convinced he is innocent. Ray Langer is an alpha state police detective. Will this unlikely pair find the truth and free Doug's father? I found John Hong's narration to be a bit drawn out. His character voices were good, not making the omega voices too feminine. I speed up the narration to 1.25 and the change was a positive one. I very much enjoyed the audio book, characters, story line, and narration.

Looking for the truth

Doug Morrison is a defense attorney determined to free his father from prison. Ray Langer is the detective whose work helped to put Doug’s father in prison. As Doug presents more and more evidence to support his claims, Ray is more inclined to help him free his father. The two grow close emotionally and physically. Ray claims Doug and things get really complicated. Because they are working on opposite sides of a controversial legal, issue, they feel they need to keep their relationship quiet. The investigation heats up and many surprises are revealed. These two men love each other. Despite all that is thrown at them, they prevail. This is a story you want to investigate. Listen to the whole story and you will be glad you did. Thank you Aiden, for another great installment in this series. I enjoyed the narration by John Hong.

Detective work meets romance

No cliffhanger, happy ending story BUT with a mystery out there! Nice, sexy detective work mixed with the exact amount of romance. The main characters are super nice, both thinking they are doing the right thing. The story is intriguing and the narrator brought the exact amount of heart to it.

What an exceptionally geat ride!

Omega's Kiss is a wild ride for sure! The suspense, the inner actions that develop between Attorney Doug and the arresting and confident Detective Ray is explosive. At times I wanted to reach into my Kindle and just smack them both upside the head. The narration by John Hong has added so much more to the over all enjoyment of listening to this book. You will not be disappointed in your purchase of this really intense and enjoyable listening experience. The book is well written, well developed and let you into the realistic every day lives of people who are dealing with and trying to do the right; thing while all along wondering if the son maybe be onto something more sinister in finding the real killer. The passion, the feelings and the claiming only add another depth to the over all reading/listening experience. I'm not going to add spoiler alerts, I'm just going to say; if you have enjoyed reading or listening to this great series, you will definitely not be disappointed in this book!
