About this listen

Before he discovered my age, he uncovered my heart.

Bruised and abused, and victim to a loveless household, I shimmered with new life the moment he found me drowning my sorrows in a lake beneath the stars.

A chance encounter. An unspoken connection. I was smitten. He was curious. But, as everyone knew, fate could be decidedly cruel.

He called me Halley, like the comet. I called him Reed. And my best friend? Well… she called him Dad.

Older is a forbidden, slow-burn, age-gap romance standalone, ending in an HEA.

I don't know what to say but this book just blew me away!

It is beautifully executed, an incredibly slowburn age gap taboo romance encompassing tragedy, heartbreak and an enduring and well deserved love story for Reed and his comet.

The #dualnarration was by new to me #GreysonAsh who was perfect as Halley and the gorgeous #GideonFrost as Reed.

I loved all the side characters and the epilogue was perfection. It couldn't have been more perfect had she tried and I'll never be able to look at a jigsaw puzzle in the same way again!

Wow and more wow! She's done it again!

Waited for a twist that never came. Very long winded story. The narrators took a while to get used to. So robotic & dreary. Once started, felt like I had to finish though - wouldn’t recommend. Jennifer Hartmann has much better alternatives.

Not JH’s best

Not how I expected it to go, was hoping for most of it that it wouldn’t be a HEA. The narration was awful: Halley was so slow I had to listen speeded up and Reed had an unnatural, forced gravely voice. Overall it was okay, not the 6/infinity stars I was expecting from booktok reviews.

Unnecessarily long
