Summary

Going from a professional baseball player to a SWAT officer should’ve been seamless. Should have been.

But it wasn’t.

All it took was one single calendar shoot for word to spread that Nathan Cox was not only no longer playing professional baseball, but he was also the man behind saving the life of Reggie Morton, the city of Kilgore’s princess.

Reggie didn’t know that by agreeing to provide the expertise and the know-how for the Police Officer’s Ball that she would be required to actually attend the function.

What she also didn’t expect was needing to be saved - again - by the same man who had saved her life a year ago when she hosted her debut event.

This time unfolds in a not-nearly-as-spectacular way. The moment she falls into his arms like a modern-day Cinderella and takes him in in all his three-piece-suited glory, she realizes that she’s been fighting the impossible.

Nathan Cox owns her. Body and soul.

Awesome story

This is a really good book. Different than the others in that the two main characters are already married just not living together. Do the love each other? Yes. Twists and turns? You bet! Enjoy!

Officially over

As a big fan of Lani’s books I have 88 of them in my library. This story is good it was a little hard to follow at first with the switching back and forth from past to present. After relistening to the chapter I understood. Since I’m just finishing a reread the story line was different from her other books and enjoyable.

Another Great Book by Lani Lynn Vale!

I love this book and all the others by Lani Lynn Vale! I feel like I belong to a Wonderful Family, with all the good, sad, love, loss and laughter. Knowing that Lani will always make a bad day, week, month better with a great ending gives me something to look forward to each month 😀

Nathan and Reggie

A sweet, heartfelt, and emotional journey to go on with Reggie and Nathan. I absolutely adored this story. Lani Lynn Vale never ceases to amaze me. Melissa Moran and Tor Thom were amazing narrators. I enjoyed listening to them bring these characters to life.

Loved it! (Tor Thom makes me blush...)

Another great story from Lani Lynn Vale. Melissa Moran gives a wonderful performance. Tor Thom's voice makes me weak in the knees. Great listen!

This was a miss for me

Lani's book are hit or miss for me, and this one was definitely a miss. There was no back story, there was no real build up, and the resolution was flat. This book was full of fillers. The narration was not good at all. Completely unimpressed

When frenemies become more...

Nathan and Reggie grew up together and made everything a competition...but they always had each other’s backs. So much so, Reggie suggested that they get married a few years ago so that Nathan could get rid of a clingy ex. The marriage was name only...until now when things get real. An ex with an ax to grind, a drug dealer out for revenge, and thus duo finally admitting that they’re more than friends. Cute story...not too angsty.

horrible female narrator

Usually when i see LLV releases a new audiobook I just buy it because I know it will be good. I really wish I would have looked to see who was narrating. As soon as the book started, I was already not happy. I'm sorry but Melissa Moran just ruins any book I have read. she is just awful. Not sure if it's her voice or what but I just cannot stand listening to any books narrated by her. I will be asking for a refund.

lackluster

I dont know exactly what it is about this book, but it was so hard to listen to. The Naration was flat and monotone. It was pretty sparkless for me. I've lived for every LaniLynnVale book this is the first that was a blah for me.
