I enjoyed the narration of Clarence Carter Boucher

Ethan and Olivia’s story is one of a second chance romance. One being a a celebrity detective and a local police officer, also ex-lovers. Who now find themselves that they are working together and having to learn to trust one another. All while facing kidnapping, drama, corruption and their feelings. This book is full of twists and turns.

Oh dear this was so difficult to listen to, the narration was poor, it sounded like it was recorded in a tin can because it was so echoing and distant. The narration seemed to rush through the story telling.

Editing seems to be lacking in tots of places

I think if the audio was good the story would be great but sadly wrong narration, wrong studio and wrong editor

To be honest, I made it more than half way through the book but then the recording suddenly became layered and echoing and I couldn't listen to more. The plot has a lot of potential and the suspense element was definitely interesting. But the lack of editing in the narration makes it difficult to listen to. The book is missing the natural pauses between the end of one chapter and the start of the next and the pauses between one narrative voice and another. In some cases lines are repeated as well. The sound quality isn't quite right either. It has a sort of hollow tinniness. Overall the performance is lacking making it seem like no one edited it.

This is an excellent story. This is Ethan and Olivia’s. They are forced to work together on a very complicated case. They fact that they had an eight year relationship which ended badly only increases the tension The case bring the danger into both their lives The plot had so many twists and turns from start to finish.

The narration was spotty and telling the characters apart difficult. In chaper11 the narration doubles up for a period.

I dont like giving negative reviews.
This book is very poorly edited. There is a spot of overlaying narration. There is also complicated and poor narration. At first I suspected possible AI as the first error I noticed was dinner when they were at a diner. Lots of sentences ran into other sentences, and this further led to wrong connections between character actions and focus. The narrator needed to take breathes to help read a novel, and to allow the natural separations between paragraphs.
These errors only highlighted the poor story quality. Very rough and doesn't do the characters justice - including the bad guy.
