About this listen

I knew exactly what I wanted out of my senior year.

A full ride to Northwestern University. The title of American high school journalist of the year. And a kiss, not just any kiss, but one from the boy I've been in love with since the sixth grade.

By October, my plan was fully in motion with liplock by Christmas imminent. Imminent, that was, until Andie Mercantile moved to Marlowe Junction, swooping both my beat and my man.

Now, I'm stuck writing the sports column - a subject I know nothing about. My goals aren't unobtainable, but they will take a lot more work. Just because a sports writer has never won journalist of the year before, doesn't mean it can't be done. And as for the kissing part, I'm not counting myself out just yet.

After all, maybe learning a bit about competition is just what I need.

Off Center is the second book in the Varsity Girlfriends series.

Very teenager Orientated. Was a little hard to get into at first as felt a bit young for me but the story did grow on me. xxxx

M F Lorson did an excellent job with this story! Very well narrated by Rachel Music - I initially thought the narration came across as somewhat manic, but really, that's exactly the character she is depicting, so was very apt. It would be easy to think this storyline is a little simple at first, but the depth of the story grows well and becomes extremely poignant at the end - very well depicted and very moving. Well done to both Author and Narrator - thoroughly enjoyed the story.

Don't underestimate this one!

Off Center was a sweet high school story with characters who were very likable and relatable. The twist in the story was quite unexpected but made me enjoy the book that much more. It also made me want to listen to the rest of the series. I recommend this to anyone looking for a nice and clean high school romance. Rachel Music did a good job bringing this story to life.

Lane is high school journalist who has her senior year planned out. She never expected Mackey to be the one she wanted. This book is full of teenage angst and worth the read.
