About this listen

A lone man sat at a table by a window in the Dickens Room of the Tip Top Inn, Chicago. He had finished his dinner and was apparently waiting for his black coffee to be served.

Two men entered and were shown to a table nearby. Presently one of them glanced at the man by the window.

"See that man over there?" he whispered to his companion.

"Yes," said the latter, looking disinterestedly in the direction indicated.

"Well, that is Obvious Adams."

There is nothing clever about this short story but the message is one that passes the test of time. If only our elected officials were like this. A gentle story, read well. Really enjoyable.

A very short story about a man who is good at stating the obvious, that's it... he went for the obvious... which may have been good 125 yrs ago but is now just obvious....

A mid short story that feels expensive at £3.50
