You are mine now. Mine to play with. Mine to break.

He is secrets, danger and passion. He is forbidden sin.

And now he holds the key to destroy all I hold dear.

The Dark Fae prince never told me his name. Not when he tried to seduce me, and not before he purposely botched one of my jobs and stole what was mine—a dangerous relic with unlimited power. It has the ability to break kingdoms… and tear down the wall that separates the human world from the dangerous, wyld magic of the fae.

He knows that I will do anything to protect my family. Even follow him beyond the wall, into his lands.

Mortals aren't allowed in the Obsidian Kingdom. Those who're caught are killed…or turned into captives. Playthings of the Dark King and his royal family.

That's what the prince wants: to turn me into his toy. To play with. To break.

But I'm not the kind of toy he's used to.

I will play the games of lust and passion so that I can learn the rules. So that I can break them.

And then I will take back what is mine and claim my revenge. Not all mortal women are delicate flowers—some have thorns.

I had a great time reading this. Due to work it was bitty reading over long than I would have wanted which definitely affected the vibes but I still loved the story and the characters.

I have enjoyed how entwined Daisy and Tarian’s stories became, also enjoyed the danger of it all too.

The world is fascinating especially when you get into the fae world. The creatures and atmosphere are written beautifully.

Cannot wait to read the next book to see what happens 👀

A great time!

We’re so spoiled by audible narrators that I did miss the absence of a male voice for the male role.

I did enjoy it but..

This is the next step of Demo Gods, as Daisy is reunited by the Fae she first met during the challenges which is the last book in that series.
He has now kidnapped her and taken her into the fae land were she has to go through challenges just to get into the court.

The wait for Daisy was so worth it. Only thing I’m annoyed about is having to wait to listen to more! I was I guess lucky in that when I discovered the world of KF Breene audiobooks there were already lots to listen to. Now I’ve listened to them all and am desperately waiting for more.

A great introduction into Daisy’s world, I love the ‘family’ touch into our well loved demigods & friends without taking away from Daisy’s story. I love that Khristine Vham is back narrating, she’s not only ace but for me really helps to connect back to the original stories and feel like a continuation.
I can’t wait to read more and am impatient to find out what’s next!

Love it!
