How can any American not see Donald trump for what he is after reading this account from the inside of his own party. At best a bully and a liar at worst a real threat to global security and economies. I wouldn’t trust him with a pint at the bar let alone my country.

A wonderful book. History books will document this Trump period and today’s spineless Republicans will have grandchildren and great grandchildren who will ask what part their ancestor played in these events……How ashamed they are going to be. A well documented must read book.

Liz Cheney sets out a comprehensive and calm account of the attempted election-coup by Donald Trump, including the events surrounding Jan 6th, and the appalling behaviour of some Republicans during & following that fateful day. In summing up she sets in stark reality the danger DT and his pathetic acolytes continue to pose to the US constitution.

Fantastic account of the 6th January insurrection. Liz Cheney’s bravery and sacrifice in the face of cowardly pressure from members of her own party is inspirational.

I wanted to buy this book after seeing Rachael Maddow discussing it on MSNBC, prior to her interview with the Author.
I ordered it on Audible, and I have to say it is a great look into the process and chronological order of what happened, leading up to and after January 6th.2020. and the former Presidents plan to throw out the votes of the people in the U.S.A.
Although I live in England, I worked as a Registered Nurse in the USA in the late 70's.
I have been back on holiday a few times and have respect for the people of the USA and their love for the Constitution.
I listened constantly from the start until Chapter 13 on the day it was finally available. I have listened every day since I will be finished sometime this afternoon.
Ms Cheney is a really good writer and Narrator, I have listened intently to the book.
I have found her work and the work of the January 6th Investigation team which I watched with amazement at what the former President undertook to stay in power. The investigators should be praised and given medals for the work they did and how they promoted it, They shoul not be threatened with retribution. Her warnings should be heeded.
I really do hope the people of the USA never vote this man back in. Please keep him out of the Oval Office forever. She is correct he is not fit for office.
No matter your political ideology please read/listen to this Author and heed her warnings.
