About this listen

When Dick Moonlight PI is instructed by Homicide Detective Nick Miller at the Albany Police Department to investigate the double homicide of a pair of married lawyers up in Saratoga Springs during the thoroughbred racing season, he finds himself in the middle of a killing spree that just might get him and his sidekick, Fat Elvis, killed too.

Some years now since I last read the Moonlight series. ZANDRI is always very readable and this series in particular, written in the first person, is amusing as well as absorbing, if a touch sexist. It's gory but it's fun. Sadly, although this narrator - Daniel Dorse - is excellent, individually voicing the characters and structuring the novella very well, I still have the original Moonlight inside my head as performed by Andrew B. Wehrein and could not help but compare them. It's always distressing when the voice of a character changes so completely.

However, an enjoyable quick read and the snippets of localised Elvis songs are terrific
