About this listen

A riveting psychological thriller!

The strongest lies aren’t the ones we tell others—they’re the ones we tell ourselves.

I thought I'd found my fairy tale ending when Andrew Chadwick saved my life during a hotel fire and gave me a whirlwind love story I didn’t think existed. But trusting him made me vulnerable, and believing in the impossible made me an easy target.

Six months later, we're celebrating our dream wedding at an exclusive island resort, where every luxury imaginable is at our fingertips. It should be perfect. It should be paradise. But it's not.

Trust is a fragile thing, and as cracks begin to form in our perfect life, I realize I might not know my new husband at all. The man I trusted with my heart is keeping dangerous secrets—and the closer I get to unraveling them, the more I realize it's not just my heart at risk…it's my life.

From #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Barbara Freethy comes a pulse-pounding psychological thriller about deception, dark secrets, and the danger of trusting the wrong person. NOTHING BREAKS LIKE A HEART is perfect for listeners who love domestic suspense and twisted mysteries!

What an exciting and thrilling story. There are so many twists and turns you were never quite sure why this Author would take you next. I did begin to suss out some of the things but not everything and it was an exciting book to read never knowing what was coming next.. The audible narration was absolutely fabulous.

Fabulous book

The story gripped me enough to see it through. The narrator was poor with a monotonous voice.

Committed to see it through

Not the best listen but if you’re looking for a simple and predictable plot, try this.

Nasally Narrator

Somewhat simple thriller that would have been a pleasant listen if the cracking way of speaking of the actor was not so distracting. It was possible to get into the story as every sentence was irritating to hear.
This made the narrator / main protagonist of the story feel irritating, and less than the woman that the words would have liked to portray her as.

Tough to listen to

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

Narration was irritating, too much repetition, the main character was too confused about clear things. Story was interesting and I really wanted to know what happened but had to endure the narrator to get through it. I admit it took me way to long to complete this each time bracing myself for the hypernasality.

Not bad but Not great
