In seven days Jet Mason will be dead.
Jet is the daughter of one of the wealthiest families in Woodstock, Vermont. Twenty-seven years old, she’s still waiting for her life to begin. She’ll do it later, she always says. She has time.
Until, on the night of Halloween, Jet is violently attacked by an unseen intruder.
She suffers a catastrophic brain injury. The doctor is certain that within a week, she’ll suffer a deadly aneurysm.
Jet never thought of herself as having enemies. But now she looks at everyone in a new light: her family, her ex-best friend turned sister-in-law, her former boyfriend.
She only has seven days, and as her condition deteriorates she has only her childhood friend Billy for help. But nevertheless, she’s absolutely determined to finally finish something:
Jet is going to solve her own murder.

A propulsive plot, where the pathos is fuel for real suspense, makes this perfect holiday fare - a genuine page-turner
Suspenseful and compelling… [Jackson’s] sprightliness and pacing sustain the reader’s interest. The revelations come in a flood. Liberated into newfound bravery by her impending demise, Jet makes a winning, wisecracking heroine
This truly unique premise snowballs into a roller coaster ride of page-turning suspense and knock-out twists!
The queen of YA effortlessly conquers a whole new realm with her first adult novel. Propulsive, unputdownable and unexpectedly heart wrenching, Not Quite Dead Yet is a masterclass in thriller writing and an example of storytelling at its finest
I felt all the emotions while reading Not Quite Dead Yet. It’s funny, touching, heartbreaking, thrilling and totally addictive. An original and unique thriller that I’ll be thinking about for a long time (Claire Douglas)
I absolutely loved it: twisty, edgy, and with her trademark voice. It deserves to fly (Gillian McAllister)
Not Quite Dead Yet is everything I love about Holly Jackson’s novels dialled up to eleven — a searingly clever premise, of course absolutely unputdownable, interspersed with her trademark humour, and with a protagonist in Jet that you can’t help rooting for. An instant classic
Fiercely original, wickedly clever, and so damn fun, Not Quite Dead Yet is a wild ride with a heroine you can't help but root for. It had me snickering, gasping, and flying through the chapters until the final page
A thrilling, twisting, heartbreaker. Holly Jackson’s adult debut is fresh, fun and impossible to put down
With all the pizzazz, poignancy, humour and ingenious plotting of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Not Quite Dead Yet sees Jackson graduating from YA fiction with distinction and aplomb (John Dugdale)
