Peter is a survivor. He finds himself alone in a winter apocalypse, surrounded by the zombie hoard. Yet he finds solace in being alone and being the master of his own destiny.
Ashleigh is also a survivor. She is the last of her family, alone in an isolated farmhouse. She mourns the loss of her parents, but she also wishes to meet someone to help her through this horrible time.
When Peter meets Ashleigh, each finds some relief in having their prayers answered. However, soon they each discover what the other has in mind is not the same thing. Against the backdrop of a desolate and violent landscape, the two lost souls face a dangerous conflict, revealing that the real monsters are not the ones lurking outside.
