About this listen

As a blizzard hits their rural Wyoming homes, Jonah Miller and his neighbor Con think the worst thing they have to worry about is being trapped and isolated with their dogs.

Then Con’s German Shepherd gets out in the middle of the storm after a mysterious meteor crashes out in the woods, forcing Jonah and Con to learn that there’s far more to fear than the cold and the snow piling up outside their doors...

John Carpenter’s THE THING meets CUJO and THE TROOP in NORO, a horror novella about two men’s fight for survival against an alien parasite searching for its perfect host.

This is an intense novella where all the different elements of the isolation, unforgiving weather, emotional state of the main character, and his canine companion Noro work seamlessly, to deliver a supernatural horror that is filled with tension and dread!

The narration by Derek Austin was brilliant and delivered the tension well!

As this wasn’t enough, the author added to the mix an alien parasite relentlessly in search of a host and, oh boy what it does to find it! The horror is real and some of the scenes are reflective of the gruesome situation Jonah, Noro, their neighbour Con and his dog find themselves in.
The isolation factor is delivered so well, adding to the tension and the desperation. And how I felt for Noro, old and in pain, which added to the already emotional weight of this story!

I highly recommend it if you want to have your breath taken away and your heart squeezed!

Thanks to the author for the audiobook and this is my honest opinion.

Isolation, alien parasite and a lot of dread!
