I loved how this single dad troupe book was different. First off the child is a teenager and Brody steals the show in this book IMO.

Savannah has recently moved town and is about to embark in a new position. While acquaintances herself in her new home befriends Brody in the workout room. There relationship is one that flourished and help each of grow. It amazed me that Brody accepted Savvy’s advice when he so needed it and he was the best cheerleader for his dad’s budding relationship with Savvy too!

Sarah had me laughing at Savvy’s sassy, unique ways. From her taking over the treadmill in Uggs in full makeup, to her nurturing Brody and being able to guide him through his changes in where he now lives with his dad Benjamin. I loved when she walks into Ben’s meetings and says what’s on her mind. Savvy’s one character that will have me smiling ear to ear when I think of her.

Michael is funny, serious and believable as Brody’s Dad Benjamin. He sure helped me see how stuffy Ben was sent packing after Savvy gets him to relax. We hear such emotion from exasperation with Ben’s dealing with the treadmill stealer😂 and Brody’s lack of ambition for school and his ex. To his heart opening up to a future with Savvy. And shows us the growth of character with Brody too.

Really enjoyed this standalone from Nikki Ash on an old troupe of a single dad done in a way that made it fresh again and just made me smile.

I not only loved the main romance story, but i liked that the author also included very delicate real life issues in the story. very well written. never boring. great characters and the narration was also very good. Michael Gallagher has one of the best voices ever.

I loved everything about this book, from Nikki Ash’s wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. This story not only grabbed my attention right for the start and captivated it, but it tugged on my heartstrings the entire time, too. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and even fall for. Savannah “Savy” Cartwright’s friend, Brianne, tells her she should come to NY to work in her brother’s company, Sharp Architecture and Construction, as the new CFO. Savy, a CPA, recently divorced worked at her ex-husband’s companies and needed a job but she was not sure if she wanted to leave Tennessee, but it took little convincing for her to say yes and accept her offer to stay with her. Benjamin Fields is a successful business owner and father of a 14-year-old son, Brody, who lives with his mother. When his son acts up and gets in trouble, his ex asks Benjamin to take him in. Brody was happy to get away from his current living situation. Benjamin rearranged things and moved to his NY apartment to be a full-time dad. Using the gym in the building, he notices someone new, a gorgeous someone who he finds intriguing. I loved that scene, heck I loved every scene in the gym, I could picture it all in my head and laughed out loud every time. Savy bumps into Brody and the two hit it off and become friends, the rapport between them is great and so is the dialogue. Little did she know Benji was Brody’s dad and that he was friends with her new boss and the owner of the building where she worked. Everything falls nicely in place in this wonderfully plotted single dad romance novel, her ex-husband left her jaded and not wanting to get in a relationship again and neither does Ben, both are a no strings attached relationship types, Ben offers that type of relationship, she does not want to jeopardize the friendship they built or make things awkward for Brody, but he convinces her to go for it. I loved how everything played out in this book, the dialogue is amazing and there is a perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Nikki Ash, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Nikki Ash chose the perfect cast to bring her characters and story to life. Michael Gallagher and Sarah Puckett are superbly talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Sarah Puckett nailed it as Savannah grasped her genuineness and bubbliness, Michael Gallagher nailed it as Benjamin grasped all sides of his personality. Both were great performing the roles of all the secondary characters as well and I loved how both took their roles, ran with it and made them their own. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

I love Nikki Ash's books, and No Strings was no exception. No String is one of the best single dad/friends-to-lovers standalone romances I've read or listened to in a long while. It's wonderfully written with the perfect balance of heartfelt emotions, sweetness, drama, passion, and steam. It was impossible not to be completely enthralled by Benjamin and Savannah's journey. Savannah and Benjamin's story sprang from friendship with an undeniable connection, evolving into something beautiful, founded on affection, trust, understanding, love, and ultimately family. Brody, Benjamin's teenage son, played a part in the evolution of their relationship. No Strings was all-consuming, and I loved every minute of it.

The audiobook is narrated by two incredibly talented voice artists, Michael Gallagher and Sarah Puckett. Both narrators were believable and authentic in their roles. They flawlessly captured the nuances of personalities, emotions, connection, and chemistry, bringing the characters to life. No Strings was a marvellous listen, one I'm highly recommending.
