About this listen

Family always come first. Until now.

No more waiting, the new novel from the No. 1 bestselling phenomenon Martina Cole is here, and it's pure Martina gold. No Mercy is a heart-stopping rollercoaster ride of a read that proves there really is only one Martina Cole.

Diana Davis has been head of the family business since the death of her husband, an infamous bank robber. She's a woman in a man's world, but no one messes with her.

Her only son, Angus, is a natural born villain, but he needs to earn Diana's trust before she'll allow him into the business.

Once he's proved he has the brains to run their clubs in Marbella, he is given what he's always wanted. It's the beginning of a reign of terror that knows no bounds.

But Angus has a blind spot: his wife, Lorna, and their three kids, Angus Junior, Sean and Eilish. And as the next generation enters the business, Angus has a painful truth to learn. Even when it comes to family, he must show no mercy...

Critic reviews

A fab read - no one writes crime like Martina Cole
A great read from the queen of crime
Fast-moving and full of guns, gangsters, drugs and gore, this gritty story delivers a terrific twist.
Classic Cole
No Mercy is a gripping Cole classic, awash in graphic violence, brutal betrayal and the darkest of deeds, but also brimming with immaculately drawn characters, psychological insight, and the acute observations of family life that have made this author such a crime-writing sensation.
Martina Cole is back with typical barbed wire dialogue, a knuckleduster-hard plot and a tough new character in Diana Davis who runs her family business with a rod of iron. Relentlessly gritty!
A fully engrossing read
Crime-Queen Martina Cole dispatches yet another grimy tale, this one gilded with 80s panache

I struggled to finish it. Very repetitive throughout and predictable i found the story line was weak.

Boring read.

didnt think it was as gritty as previous books I read by her.
The story line was a little thin and then in last few chapters rushed to a conclusion.

Twists and turns I wasn't expecting and a good story. But not sure that the characters had adequate development. And because of that I didn't feel attached to them. Would try one more book

I'm not sure

Fab narrator as always, good addition of phone call sound to narration...story tired, worst of her books tbh...I think she has lost her mojo sadly....the story was skin deep, the plot skimmed romance violence gangland family and friendship but no depth on any
