A SECRET YACHT

A LIFE-CHANGING HOLIDAY

YOU WON’T WANT TO LEAVE

UNTIL YOU CAN’T …

Leaving the grey skies of home, best friends Kitty and Lana journey to the Philippines. There, they discover The Blue – a beautiful yacht with a wandering crew.

As they sail through sparkling seas and discover untouched islands, their old lives drift away on the current.

But everyone on The Blue is running from something.

And when a swell of secrets and lies threatens to bring the adventure to an end, some won’t let paradise go – whatever the price …

Lucy Clarke is a capable writer & storyteller but this dragged mainly because I couldn’t get behind any of the characters. The narrator had a lovely voice but some accents were inconsistent

Not as good as her others

I found it slow and couldn't wait for it to be over. I couldn't get close to any character. The narrators voice was OK but monotone at some points. The German accent was more french and made it confusing between that and the French accent. At times it was more gripping but mostly a light quick read. The description of visual things was good though. I could imagine being in the water with them etc

A bit slow and terrible accents

This is a bit silly but overall I enjoyed the voyage on the Blue. I wasn’t looking for anything challenging so it fitted the bill.
It kept my attention and I was engaged by the characters. It was well read too.

Good lightweight holiday listen

Loved it and kept me enthralled to the end
with images created and suspense

A great and gripping read.

Well narrated by Scarlett Mack, this tale is one of mystery and suspense that kept me awake through intrigue.

Perhaps the previous reviewer doesn’t like a Scottish accent, as Mack’s diction is clear and easily understood. I personally find it refreshing to hear.

The story itself moves back and forth between two main timelines, undulating on the waves of a nautical tale as told by the main protagonist.

Don’t expect to fall in love with any of the characters, but instead be attracted to their alternative lifestyle on board The Blue and how they ended up in the situation they did.

A decent listen.

An audible page turner
