Summary

The final four series of this BBC Radio comedy drama about sisterhood and sibling rivalry.

In these final four series, Anna is trying to remain calm and centred in the midst of the familial chaos that surrounds her. Her sisters, Victoria and Charlotte, are more combative than ever, and when a row blows up between them, Anna is stuck in the middle.

Having graduated from university, her niece Emily is preparing for marriage and motherhood. But her wedding plans cause ructions, as Victoria and Charlotte make her celebrations all about them. The baby's birth sends Victoria into competitive granny mode - while Anna receives a heart-warming surprise.

Having dallied with a string of lovers, Charlotte finally gets engaged - but there are more twists to come in her complicated love life. Her professional life is in turmoil too: with daughter Gisele starring in a TV series, will Charlotte keep chasing her own big break as an actress or try to make it as a model instead?

As the sisters look forward to new beginnings, one thing is certain - they'll always have each other.

Scripted by Simon Brett, this hugely popular comedy stars Rosemary Leach as Anna, with Angela Thorne as Victoria, Celia Imrie and Felicity Montagu as Charlotte and Lisa Coleman as Emily.

Written and produced by Simon Brett.

Music composed by Elizabeth Parker, BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

Wish it didn’t have to end.

Absolutely loved this series. Rosemary Leach has such a wonderful warmth to her voice, you can sense she’s a wonderful person. It’s a shame Roger had a number of changes, my fav was Geoffrey Whitehead. I know it was the right thing to end it, but it’s such a shame.

Very enjoyable comedy family drama series

I really enjoyed listening to all three collections. You really get to know the characters and I was very sorry to leave them all behind after the last episode.

The whole cast & stories were brilliant. Throughly enjoyed every single episode. Very light hearted & easy to listen to & at times made me laugh out loud.

Not the best of the collection

I have loved the whole series of ‘No Commitments’ but a bit disappointed with this last 3 series. There wasn’t much of Anna featured but A LOT of Emily, who is a really annoying character, constantly looking down at her parents despite being exactly like them. More of Anna would have been much appreciated, these last three series she felt like a supporting character in the Emily show.

Make the commitment!!!

I really enjoyed this- great easy listening. Gentle humour with some genuinely funny performances. Shame about the changing actors- standout hits were Rosemary Leach, Bill Nighy ( brilliant) Celia Imrie as Charlotte( so funny) and Angela Thorn x

Disappointing

No Commitments is a most enjoyable listen EXCEPT for the last three series: the wonderful Bill Nighy is replaced by a boring voice, the story becomes repetitive & far fetched in part and irritating Emily takes centre stage. Disappointing that the last three series did not live up to the first ten series - perhaps it should have ended there at ten.
