Summary

Nick Fisher is State's most eligible bachelor - confident, creative, and driven - and is completely aware that every girl he knows is trying to land him. But Nick is more than the marketing genius everyone sees on the outside. In fact, his life is far more complicated than anyone suspects...even his own brothers.

Jess Michaelson knows she shouldn't want Nick like all the other girls do, but she's crazy about him anyway. How could anyone resist those charms? When he focuses his attention on her, she has no idea what she's truly in for.

Sometimes love is hard.

But it's worth the fight.

I DID IT FOR YOU! NICK WENT FROM HERO TO ZERO!

This story had very good parts, however, our hero goes downhill as the story progresses. He was a wimp hiding under the excuse "I did it for you..."

There's only so much a person should stand from a partner before giving up. How many " i am sorry-s" "I didn't mean it" "it was a joke" "I can't say *NO* to dad" do you have to hear before you put your foot down? And can you really forgive Nick's cruelty handling things the way he did? To me the answer is a resounding "NO"! I can't believe that our heroine forgave him so easily.

I didn't like the story after the way the hero behaved, specially towards the end.

There are many positive reviews, so please don't let my opinion stop you from listening to this book.

The narrators were both great, and I particularly enjoyed listening to Jason Clarke and wish there was more for him to read.

3.75 ⭐️

I almost feel bad for giving a 3.75 rating bcz I actually loved the story but bcz I’m a firm believer of feedback being a “gift” here are my thoughts:
1- Since there was dual POV’s, we should’ve heard more from Nick
2- Although the narrators were awesome and as much as I love Erin, the listener should’ve heard more from Jason (oh good lord is his voice SEXY🔥)
3- The book could’ve been longer to have an epic romance build up before the chaos
4- Though Jess was still holding on in some ways, I wish she had more actively dated
5- The separation should’ve been longer to give Jess that time to date and Nick an opportunity to delay things
6- Speaks to #2, I would’ve love to hear more about Nick’s interactions with Carla
7- With Jess’s strength, I wish she had made Nick work harder to get her back rather than one conversation
8- Jess mentioned she was in experienced but there should’ve have been more discussion between her and Nick about her past experiences and how he would handle her heart and body with care. Those words would’ve Jess more to ponder over
9- Would’ve been cool to hear how Nick’s Frat Bro’s razzed him over Carla and attempted to get with Jess
10- We could’ve heard more about the Frat Bro who was kicked out. Or maybe he could’ve ran into Jess at the other school (IDK)
11- Jess’s lie to Nick at the beginning was never revisited

IMO: At heart Nick was an immature coward who knew nothing about women, feelings, or how to be a man. He was a juvenile who needed his brothers to stand up for him. I get that was a sort of the point of the story, but I wish there was something more substantial given to the audience to hold on to other than, “my dad said I had to...” WHIMP!!

Here’s what I loved:
1- I loved Jess’s strength and boldness in her attempts to stand her ground
2- I loved the fact that Jess had a great support system
3- I loved the angst this story bought on
4- I LOVED both Narrators (Jason Clarke gives he eargasims, YUM!)
5- I loved the fact that the audience could draw their own conclusions about Nick & Jess’s future rather than saying the got married and lived HEA
6- I loved the mention of the other brothers, can’t wait for their stories to come out on audio
7- I loved that Jess didn’t give in and went for her dreams
8- I loved the fact that Carla threw a tantrum in front of everyone
9- I loved the flow of the story

Overall, I did actually love the story although there was much to be desired. Good thing it landed in the GD Romance Package, otherwise it would’ve gone over looked. ❤️

Female Narrator voice is very annoying

I’ve read the book on KU and really enjoyed the book. The male voice was good but the female voice after 3rd chapter became so annoying in the sense when she was going thru something the narrator voice became whiny and for someone who read the book that is not how it was written.

Worth a credit?🤷‍♀️

No Bad Days, Book 1 of the Fisher Brother series, by J. Sterling is an angst filled story about Nick Fisher, the big man on campus at State University. Nick is a senior, the president of his fraternity and he can have any girl he wants. He just has two hard rules; he never dates any girl for more than a month and he never dates any girl that dated one of his frat brothers. That is, until he meets the beautiful Jess Michaelson. Jess is a sophomore in the film production program at State. She knows of Nate’s reputation but accepts a date with him anyway. She keeps her heart guarded because she knows that there is an expiration date on their relationship. Nick breaks all of his rules for Jess because she is different than any other girl he’s dated before. It seems outside forces have other plans in mind for them.

Is it worth a credit?🤷‍♀️ IMHO, I'm not so sure. I think it's not the best story that J. Sterling has written, but it isn't bad. I don't see Jess as being a strong female character. She seems timid, vulnerable and appears to have low self-esteem. I guarantee that I could have defended myself from Nick's drunk frat brother. I'm all about a knight in shinning armor, but come on, in today's day and time, we ladies all need to know how to defend ourselves.

Since it is part of a series, I wish that the other two books, Guy Hater and Adios Pantalones were also on Audible, but for now, they are not.

Narrators, Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke, give a stellar performance, as usual. I always love hearing them, especially together.
