Everett True, the journalist credited with discovering Nirvana, Hole, Pavement, and Soundgarden, offers an exclusive, insider's account of one of rock's most influential bands. He famously introduced Kurt Cobain to Courtney Love, performed with Nirvana numerous times, and even pushed Kurt onto the stage at the 1992 Reading Festival in a wheelchair.

This is the definitive story, told by the only journalist allowed into the Cobain home immediately after Kurt’s death. True delves into the true nature of Nirvana, from their creation to their end. More than 30 years after Kurt Cobain's passing, Nirvana's influence on popular music remains huge. This book offers an unparalleled, insider's commentary on their legendary career.

This book is awesome. I enjoyed it immensely despite not being a massive fan of Nirvana. In fact its one of the best books on music ever written. I have no idea who Everett True is but he cuts to the heart of the matter. The book includes interviews with other musicians of the Seattle music scene and pieces the history of the band together beautifully. "Everybody loves our town" by Mark Yarm is also a great oral history of the grunge scene.
Its a great book but this is the best.
