NO SECRET CAN STAY BURIED FOREVER

Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens is an oasis of peace – until one morning when the body of a young woman is found there, buried in a quiet corner. Police determine that she’s been there for months and would have gone undiscovered for years – except someone returned in the dead of night to dig her up.

DS Adam Tyler and his team have many questions to answer – who is the victim? Who killed her and hid her body? And who dug her up?

Tyler’s investigation draws him into the secretive world of nighthawkers: treasure-hunters who operate under cover of darkness, seeking the lost and valuable . . . and willing to kill to keep what they find.

excellent story with twists and turns throughout. I yelped out loud at the ending, such a shocker but I need to know what happened next

I found the first book gripping and intriguing so went straight on to this second Adam Tyler novel. It's so good! I enjoyed the returning characters and their development as well as the twists and turns of the narrative. It kept me guessing and I loved the story. The fact that I've recently moved to Sheffield and get to enjoy mentions of local places is an added bonus. Cannot wait to read/listen to the third book and hope there will be many many more!

I'm totally hooked on this series

It really is, highly entertaining and brilliantly structured. Recommended for anyone who likes their crime twisty but human.

Even better than the first.

Great book. I’m getting attached to these characters and definitely looking forward to the next one!

Excellent!

Narrator was talented in his delivery. Menacing as McKenna. The complexities of characters (a bit of a struggle sometimes to understand) were characterised by individual slights each of them possessed, each of them livened up, by the story teller. I think I would have struggled to read the book tbh. Enjoyable nonetheless

Who dunnit.
