Good collection of stories, listens like a tales from the crypt comic book. There are some seriously spooky offerings. Warning! I’m sure that this audiobook is missing some stories that appear in the published book. The only one I could remember not being on the audio book was Children of the Corn but i’m sure there are more missing. 3/5

Love the narration by John Glover but it appears that 2 stories listed as included in the book are not actually included, either missing or having never been recorded. Very disappointed that such a great collection with such a great narrator left out the story I actually purchased this to hear in the first place ("one for the road").

My first experience of Stephen King’s short stories. Really enjoyed the collection, in particular “Graveyard Shift”, “The Lawnmower Man” and “Children Of The Corn”. Many of the titles were made into films and I specifically remember “Children Of The Corn”, sneakily watching it when I was growing up. Another book ticked off the list and one step closer to ‘completing’ King (many steps ahead)!

What does John Glover bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Great narrator - I've read a lot of Stephen King books in my time but Glover really brought the stories to life.

Stories are generally good but as it doesn’t actually contain all of the stories from Night Shift I can’t help feeling a bit cheated...

Performance isn’t the best and is overdone at times. The “mood music” is terrible and often drowns out the narrator when it is played - I think it’s supposed to help emphasis the horror aspect but it’s really just very annoying.

I have most of Stephen King’s works in my Audible library and I can easily say that this production does not meet the usual high standards... missed opportunity.
