Summary

To sleep, perchance to die.

Johann "Father" Gunter and Robert Durling find themselves in the small town of Clemons because of a dream the news reporter Belinda Carstone had. The night they arrive in town, they know immediately something is amiss. The mayor of the town has died in a tragic accident in her home.

Johann and Robert pose as members of the KMTN News crew to gain access to the house where the mayor died. Their investigation takes them down a wild and twisted path. They learn interesting things about the town and the people, and we learn a few interesting things about Johann and Robert.

It's a tale of death, intrigue, suspense, and demonic possession that you will not want to miss.

Entertaining thriller

This story kept me entertained with it's Demon hunting Father Gunter (no H) who I presume is a real priest but I've not read the first two books so I'm not certain, but he's a real character, who seems to travel with a pair of journalists and a trainee demon hunter (don't call me Bobby) who is actually a coroner in his real job.

Robert (don't call me Bobby) seems to be a bit of an idiot, always questioning everything that Gunter says, which is hilarious, the two journalists are almost as funny. I loved this. I wasn't sure that he'd make a good demon hunter though, until his epiphany whilst fighting the demon, now I think maybe he has the gumption for the role, especially with Father Gunter to guide him.

I'm not sure the narrator is the best choice for the story he makes everything seems light and jovial, which is perhaps not quite the right atmosphere for a tale of demonic possesion but he is definitely easy going on the ear which is always a plus.

All in all I'd recommend this as a quick and easy listen, light stuff, entertaining and funny (in a weird way).
