I thought this was an enjoyable read overall! The story was fun and had some great moments, though it didn’t quite reach that level of excitement or swoon-worthy magic I was hoping for. It’s a solid, feel-good romance with a satisfying HEA, but it didn’t leave me totally dazzled.

The male narrator, while charming, did have an interesting choice of delivery that sometimes came across as a bit immature or pouty, which made him feel less likable at times. With a different narration style, I think the story would have been even more engaging! On the other hand, the female narrator really shone, bringing a lot of experience and depth to the dual narration, which helped elevate the overall experience.

This was a super sweet story of childhood crushes returning. :) I enjoyed Mason and Emily's story, and loved how awkward Mason was. I loved Emily's bookish character, and loved how she finally realised that she was allowed to feel beautiful every day, and not just on special occassions.

I enjoyed Lexi Balter's performance, but found that I didn't enjoy Zach Young's quite as much. Although, that probably added to Mason's akwardness as a character. :)

Quick, typical on the shelf romance story. Some inconsistencies in the story, but not too distracting. Female narrator was pleasant to listen to. I didn't care for the male narrator. This was my first book by this author, and won't be the last!

Loved the dual narration of Lexi Balter and Zach Young

Emily runs her own bookshop owner and is very happy living in her home town. It gets better when Mason returns. He is now a fighter after his football career ended. Mason was her brother's best friend. When Mason needs a date to a fundraising event , he askes Emily and she is more than happy. Neither of them want to ruin their own friendship, and because of Mason's friendship with Emily's brother.
This is a wonderful clean romance, with the right amount of drama.
