Summary

An Audible Original from Audible Theater, Nevada-Tan is an Emerging Playwrights Commission, written for and available exclusively on Audible.

Nevada-Tan is a genre-bending new play that introduces us to Nick, a young man who struggles to escape loneliness and isolation in the years following the tragic Columbine shooting of 1999. Nick’s quest leads to a decade-long fixation with Nevada-Tan, a Japanese schoolgirl who committed a horrific crime in Sasebo in 2004. Mixing horror and dark humor, Nevada-Tan is a shocking exploration of secrets, tragedy and obsession, thrilling listeners with its surprising twists and turns.

Special Thanks to Elena Truscott, Jake Adelstein, Ryan Murphy, Ethan Stern, Preston Copley, The Lark Play Development Center, Cara Masline, Dave Becky, Grace Parker, Rachel Abrams, and Beth Blickers.

Directed by Moritz Von Stuelpnagel

Freaky and twisted

This story is so freaky and twisted. I found it hard to listen to. I had a difficult school time but I didn't go there.

Fascinating

This audio book was gripping. I began to guess the outcome about three quarters of the way through. Yes I did enjoy it. The bad language was simply part of the story.

Horrid

This has got to be the worst thing I've ever listened to, badly performed - avoid. Free but still too much.

Great soundscapes and theatrics

I enjoyed the story and found the sound and effects brilliantly made
STANDS OUT THEATRICALLY from many other audio plays

Enjoyably freebie from Audible

This was really enjoyable and had me sitting on the edge of my seat. It is based around a real incident and has some supernatural events thrown in.

Filled in an otherwise boring hour or two during lock down.

Clever writing but needed a heavy edit

Why is there this current trend for American female actors to speak in that annoying trendy way where all words are squeezed and inflected like toothpaste.
‘Noowww’ not just in this recording but many other plays current. Get better actor or director for young female
roles
