A horror to listen too and horror not too
This is not my usual type of book, I like cosy mysteries but I stumbled over this author awhile ago and have been a fan ever since. I can honestly say I have never listened to a book that made me cry so much and yet I couldn't stop listening. Talk about tugging at your heart strings. So why did I keep listening? Because the talented author makes you care about what happens to the characters and before you know it you are invested in there out come and can't turn off. This is a zombie apocalypse so be prepared for a fight to the death and if like me take tissues. I am still not sure horror is my thing and I wouldn't watch it on tv but I might just give another book in this genre ago, especially if this author is writing it.
Amy and her daughter are stuck in the city with a virus that is quickly spreading, killing everyone in its path. The virus strips away a person's humanity that drives them to violence and a hunger that is only sated by human flesh. Can they escape with there lives? Or have they left it to late?
I liked the narrator. She did an amazing job making the drama, the fear and anguish come alive.
