The past can haunt you, especially when it is as tragic as Arabel's. It has been 3 years and she still has nightmares. Enzo too has a brokenness that is all too evident. His past is with him every day. But when these two meet, the chemistry is strong. If they take it slow, will the be able to heal each other and break free of the painful memories? I went into this story blind, and I am so glad I did. Each having a story that is so powerful and painful, it is no wonder they are in the position they are. I love how they built their relationship, slowly, and purposefully. Yes, there is a lot of spontaneity too, but the two are very cautious. Valentina writes beautifully a story of suffering and grief and how these two rebuild and recover. Plus I love a doting, single dad! She adds a little levity to the story. I will definitely be looking for the next book in this series.

Michael Ferraiuolo is fantastic as Enzo. Give me an Italian accent any day and it melts my heart. He brings incredible emotions to his character, and lets us take his journey to happiness. Ramona Master comes in as Arabel with a powerful performance. She takes us through it all, giving us every feeling of doubt, despair, and love. These two are a wonderful team and made for an entertaining listen.

Naked Hearts by Valentina is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo and Ramona Master. This is the first book in Broken Hearts series and can be read as a standalone.

This is Valentina's debut novel and she knocked it out of the park. The book took me on an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to get off. I loved that relationship that bloomed between Arabel and Lorenzo. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Shadowed Hearts to be released on April 22, 2022 so I can get Mignon and Fox's story.

Michael and Ramona did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

Wow..... I went into this story completely blind as I do pretty much all books, and once again I have been been truly wowed and impressed. The audiobook was extremely well done. This story is raw and heartbreaking and difficult to read/listen to at times, but it was so very worth it.

Arabel has been through an insanely traumatic experience and it is with her all the time. Years later, the memories still haunt her. When she meets Lorenzo, though she is attracted to him, there is so much about being with him that makes her nervous too. Lorenzo is also no stranger to his own set of difficult life experiences and he too has some reservations about being in a relationship with Arabel, yet they are drawn to each other, and maybe they are exactly what they need to each feel whole again.

My heart broke for Arabel's experience, but I admired her strength and her character and her determination to keep moving forward. My heart also broke for Lorenzo and all that he had been through. I really liked Lorenzo and Arabel together. I think the author did a fantastic job with this very difficult story line and sensitive subject matter. I would definitely like to read more of her work in the future.

Michael Ferraiuolo and Ramona Master both did an extraordinary job with the narration of this emotional story. This was my first listen by Michael Ferraiuolo but I definitely look forward to listening to more of his work. Ramona Master always does a fantastic job bringing out all of the various emotions of a story line and this was no exception. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

Wow this book is absolutely fantastic. It’s heartfelt and emotional and rip you to pieces. The author has done so well with dealing with such a sensitive subject, well done. An absolutely brilliant performance from both narrators that really does emphasise the sensitivity of the subject.

This story gives you all the feels, it can take you there if you let it. This couple has been through so much and have to fight for everything that they want to get where they need to be. You can overcome anything if the right person comes along.
