Great bundle

Any additional comments?

Greek, Roman, and Norse mythologies are so old because they have been in living thousands and thousands of years even before Christ was born. Thank you, Matt, for recommending this book to me. You're such a great man and I am happy to be your friend! Let's buddy listen to Bulfinch soon!

Pieces of knowledge

I highly recommend Matt's Mythologies. Not only is it smart and exciting, but it will affect how you view the world. Without knowing it, you'll be walking through the mall writing mythologies of your own.

Exactly what I want

Any additional comments?

This book will give you information on nearly any mythology. It has all of the major gods and stories of them. It doesn't show much about a lot of minor gods but is still a very solid anthology!!!

well-known titles and rightfully so.

Any additional comments?

I like the way he writes about an everyday object or subject matter - and just tears into it like a very curious scientist. "Mythologies" is one of his more well-known titles and rightfully so.

An excellent overview ...

Any additional comments?

The listener will grow a good general gratitude of western civilization’s links to traditional Greece. But if you are observing for a detailed debate on Greek viewpoint or supposed, you will get it from this amiable and well written overview.

Informative

Any additional comments?

I had no idea how interesting and exciting mythology could be until I wrote this extensive book. While in school the lessons on mythology were boring and dry. In contrast this book has gotten me hook on mythology. It is an awesome bundle.

Great references.....

Clearly written, concise, and has an excellent bibliography of references. With all the garbage about Egypt on the web, I find this extremely helpful to figure out who has a clue.

The book begins with a short history of Egypt from the pre-dynastic to post-pharonic times and also introduces/gives context for myth and religion in ancient Egypt. It is a good introduction and reference, but not meant to be comprehensive.

The things that I most wanted but didn't have were cross-references for deity names, which can be spelled several different ways, and a better explanation of the Egyptian concept of the soul.
Definitely a fascinating guide to understanding Greek Mythology, Norse Mythology, and Egyptian Mythology.

Mystical

This book is a great collection of myths and legends from ancient cultures. Some of them we all learned in grade school, but others are new and refreshing. They are a great way to examine life as we knew/know it or just to read and escape to a far away place for a while. From the start to Greek to Egyptian, this book has them all and it is highly recommended for any kind of reader.

Highly recommended Greek Mythology book.

I was looking for a god family tree of the Greek gods and a good reference to all the. "Monsters" and how they came about. This book gave me exactly that and it was just what i was looking for.
This book was excellent. It gives a detailed account of the gods and Titans associated with Greek mythology.

Great Book for read.

I read this book just for fun, because I've always loved Greek mythology and my friend told me that this book was really good. And so far, out of all of the mythology books I've read, this was my favorite. It includes all of the most popular myths and also some little-known myths. It even has a little about Norse mythology, which I also find interesting.

Matt Clayton did a fantastic job for me.

This book is great for those interested in the myths. It describes (in order of power and rank) the Gods in both Greek and Roman name. It focuses more on the Roman names but in the beginning, tells who their Greek name as well. The book is flexible and easy to carry in a large purse. HIglights many well-known stories that you may have heard of as a child. Highly recommended! Kathy Marques

Beautifully described audio book.

Beautiful. I always thought mythology was interesting as a kid, and even now as an adult. I got this to read to my kids at bed time and they love it.
However, it's a little too dense and difficult for the kids but a best one for adults.

Classically Beautiful

Classic information in a truly beautifully laid out book. As a teacher, I was impressed with this tome. As a 12-year-old, my son found this to be one of her favorite ...foregoing him new electronic games in favor of reading this book. He hasn't yet studied mythology in school, but is now eager for it!

A great book to read if you want to learn

A great book to read if you want to learn about Greek/Egyptian mythology in a summarized/third person format. It has a couple of "outdated" words, but still good to understand at. I'd recommend it to anybody who loves the Greek Mythology, Norse Mythology, and Egyptian Heroes enduring their perilous adventures.
