About this listen

What do you do when multiple sclerosis knocks you on your ass, tells you your rap career is over, and dares you to stay down?

You write a new story — and this one’s real as hell.

Myelin My Shoes is the raw, unfiltered, punch-in-the-gut memoir from underground hip-hop artist Robert “B-Cide” Cardillo II, who turned pain into power and built something real in a world full of fake.

From rocking shows with legends to dodging shady promoters, from touring the country to being forced into a wheelchair by multiple sclerosis — this is the story of a man who refused to tap out.

No ghostwriters. No sugarcoating. No Hollywood ending. Just truth, scars, hustle, and heart.

Inside, you’ll get:

Stories from the front lines of the indie rap scene that no blog had the balls to print

Real talk about fighting MS while still making music that gets 1,000 to 1,500 monthly listeners on Spotify — no cap

Lessons learned from the school of hard knocks, not the business school playbook

Validation if you’ve ever felt like success doesn’t look like a big house and a Lambo

And a blueprint for what it really means to build something out of nothing

If you’ve ever been counted out, if you’ve ever felt like quitting, if you’ve ever wanted to tell the world “F*** your expectations” — this book is for you.

You won’t find fake inspiration here. What you’ll find is resilience, reinvention, and realness — from a man who bet on himself and won in ways most people can’t even understand.

Whether you're an artist, an entrepreneur, a Juggalo, an MS warrior, or someone just trying to survive one more day — this book will hit you where it matters.

This is your permission slip to stop playing small.

And proof that you can still make noise — even when the world tries to silence you.

Fans of memoirs like Can’t Hurt Me and Behind the Paint will find something unforgettable in B-Cide’s journey. This is more than a book. It’s a blueprint for resilience.

A book about life & its challenges, ambitions & setbacks, music and business, love & loss.

This is a book authored by an artist, a fan, a star who deserves to be heard and seen shine.

This Robert “B-Cide” Cardillo II’s audiobook was easy to listen to, The author speaks clearly and has a good talking voice, I could listen to him read indefinitely if I had time. His life has many moments which I can relate to. I lived through my own childhood and youth again while listening to this book and remembered things I had forgotten.

To hear about Robert having the spirit of an entrepreneur from a very young age clicked with my childhood. I had started selling whatever I could get money from as a young kid and quickly learned the value of money like the author did.

I also tried to play the guitar as a kid, drums too but just couldn’t keep the interest in it so I can relate to that too in the book.

I also found similarities in how my family life was compared to Robert’s, my parents also split up for similar reasons.

It was fascinating to listen to someone who had been participating in band concerts, the way Robert told his stories felt so vivid that I really felt like I was there with him in his memories. Heck! I wish I had been! I would have loved to have a friend like him as a kid.

I had a stroke last month, my life as I know it could have been over. It was a wake up call. I feel empathy towards people who have ailments and disabilities which prevent them from living life to the fullest but I admire the heck out of each and everyone who keep fighting and who find a way to cope. To me these regular people are the real heroes.

I would like to thank Robert “B-Cide” Cardillo II for writing this book and for inviting us into his memories and for giving us a chance to learn who the man behind the rapper name B-Cide is. I love B-Cide’s music and it’s a crime that he isn’t an award winning artist yet.

I didn’t hesitate for a second to purchase this audiobook, I actually kept checking Audible to see if this was finally here since this was supposed to be available on the 12th of June. As soon as I bought this I went for a walk and started listening. As I listened to this book read by the author himself I was immediately engaged and didn’t want to stop until the book was finished. I listened for two hours straight before work and had to listen more every chance I could while I worked. I finished the same day…

I hope people will pick this book up either by buying this audiobook or by ordering the book to read. You won’t regret it.

Shoes that fit me in many ways.
